Science at Sea – Opportunities to study on the RV Celtic Voyager

Intensive two-day CPD courses on the RV Celtic Voyager are being offered to graduate and postgraduate students of marine-related sciences, technologies and engineering, as well as researchers, and marine oriented professionals and educators.

The programme – Science@Sea – which is being led by Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology teaches the cross‐disciplinary skills involved in marine sampling and data collection and relates these to EU Frameworks and Ireland’s Marine Data Collection Programme.

Other elements essential to carrying out offshore research and monitoring are also addressed including safety at sea, research vessel activities and capabilities, and survey design and planning.

Course fees for Science@Sea are €250 and are payable to Lifelong Learning at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.
