According to a UK Universities report, Ireland is the 10th most popular destination for Erasmus+ students albeit the absolute number is modest.  The report entitled “Gone International: Mobility works” identifies France as the top destination on 36% (4805 students) with Ireland accounting for 1.1% (140).

UK participation in Erasmus+ reached record levels in the academic year 2013–14 when 15,610 UK students received Erasmus funding to pursue a work or study placement abroad.
