The Erasmus+ National Agency at the Higher Education Authority extends its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the late Peter Sutherland, the EC Commissioner who introduced the Erasmus Programme in 1987.

Mr. Sutherland also delivered the inaugural Erasmus Lecture organised by the National Agency in 2008 at Dublin’s City Hall.  He is seen here with NA staff Mary Kerr, Mary May, Mary Dunne and Gerry O’Sullivan as well as the Lord Mayor of Dublin Emer Costello (fourth from left).
