Irish SME selected for funding under the European Innovation Council pilot

A Maynooth-based company – Avectas Ltd is one of 58 SMEs from across the EU and Israel selected for funding under the recently launched European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot.

Avectas, a cell engineering technology company based on the Maynooth University Campus, will lead a project entitled Solupore® – Enabling the Manufacture of Affordable New Treatments to Cure Cancer.

Each project will receive up to €2.5 million to finance innovation activities such as demonstration, testing, piloting and scaling up.
