Limerick Institute of Technology has been awarded almost €1m for an Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliance.

The project, one of just 30 selected, is entitled “Education for Zero Energy Buildings using Building Modelling Information” and the EC award is €955,633.

Knowledge alliances are transnational and result-driven activities between higher education institutions and businesses.

This latest success joins with awards to the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG), Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and Louth County Enterprise Board with a total EC investment of nearly €5m.

The National Agency has played an active part in promoting opportunities under this action since the Erasmus+ programme began in 2014.
