The Erasmus+ National Agency at the Higher Education Authority has received a record 20 applications for the EC’s Key Action 226 call inviting HEIs to submit applications that support the digital education readiness of the sector. This action aims to enhance online, distance and blended learning – including supporting teachers and trainers – as well as safeguarding the inclusive nature of digital learning opportunities.

The applications were received from 12 HEIs (another record) and the total amount requested is almost €5.3m for an available budget of just over €550,000.  The previous high was recorded in March of this year for the KA203 call when the NA received 13 applications.

The NA would like to thank the HEIs for responding so positively at this most difficult time.  The applications will be sent for external evaluation and the outcomes will be known before the end of the year.
