
Almost 4400 HEIs in Europe awarded Erasmus Charter

The European Commission has published the list of awardees who have been granted the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). A total of 4383 awards were made. Included among them are 31 Irish higher education institutions. Cork Institute of Technology and the Institute of Technology Tralee are shown in the attachments in their former status but their designation as Munster Technological University is being processed and MTU is shown in the Table. The Irish pool has been augmented by the award of an ECHE to American College Dublin and Galway Business College for the first time. Institutions will hold the ECHE for the period 2021 to 2027.
Each ECHE holder is a potential partner of an Irish higher education institution.
