Ireland’s Erasmus+ Mobility flows show a strong preference for countries in the western part of the European Union.  The map below shows that if a line is drawn from North to South through Germany, the high mobility destinations lie to the west while all the countries (yellow) with no student mobilities in 2019 are to the east of that line.

The pattern continues in the area of staff teaching and training with no mobilities taking place to 9 Programme Countries with all bar Portugal and Iceland to the east of Germany.
