Irish HEIs well represented in 2021 Erasmus Mundus Call

Five Irish higher education institutions are among a total of 70 proposals for Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters under the 2021 Call – 2 as co-ordinators and 3 as partner institutions.

The thematic coverage of the proposed masters is as follows:

  • Hard sciences: 31 proposals Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Information
    Science and Engineering
  • Humanities: 25 proposals Social Sciences and Humanities, Economic
    Sciences
  • Life sciences: 14 proposals Environment, Geosciences, Health & Welfare
    and Biology

Three Irish HEIs have applied for the new action Erasmus Mundus Design Measures among a total field of 148 applications.

The call expects to fund some 25 Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters and 36 Erasmus Mundus Design Measures. The final Erasmus Mundus selection results will be available by October 2021.
