ECHE WG

The second meeting of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education Working Group took place on 5 March 2025. Members discussed the horizontal priority of inclusion within the Erasmus+ programme. The findings of the Inclusion Implementation Survey, which was conducted by the HEA in December 2024, were presented to the members of the ECHE Working Group. Following this, a brainstorming session is planned to propose a set of actions with the aim to achieve greater inclusion implementation across the higher education institutions.

AskErasmus IADT

AskErasmus is collaborative initiative between the HEA and Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Ireland, aimed at providing students with key insights into mobility opportunities. The first AskErasmus event took place on Wednesday 26 March 2025 at IADT.

The event featured interactive sessions covering practical preparation, accommodation, financial planning, cultural integration and safety tips for students studying abroad. Students had the opportunity to engage directly with ESN Ireland Board members, the on-site ESN IADT representatives and past Erasmus+ participants, gaining first-hand advice on navigating a mobility from the application stage through to returning home with newfound skills and friendships. A mobility mixer rounded off the day, allowing students to network with peers who have studied abroad, ask questions and learn about available support systems.

Thank you to all involved for making the event a success – a special shoutout to Sonya Hogan at IADT. If you’re interested in hosting an AskErasmus session at your institution, stay tuned for future opportunities.

Participant Testimonials
Please encourage your Erasmus+ participants who have undertaken a mobility abroad to share their story with us for our national Erasmus+ experience campaign.

It’s really important to encourage your participants to tell their personal stories – putting a spotlight on real people with real experiences has a strong impact, especially for those wanting to learn more about the programme and the opportunities it offers. It’s also a great boost for contributors’ CVs and LinkedIn.

If we feature a participant from your institution, we’ll promote your institution through our social channels and website for a period of one month.

We’re looking for:

  • HEI Students

  • HEI Staff

  • BIP participants
