IAIE
Thursday 12 June – Friday 13 June, South East Technological University (Waterford Campus)
The Irish Association for International Education (IAIE) is pleased to announce its inaugural conference, Internationalisation in Higher Education – Looking to the Future, with the support of the Department of Further and Higher Education Research, Innovation and Skills (DFHERIS), the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and Education in Ireland.
This in-person event aims to explore forward-thinking strategies, innovations and partnerships that will shape the future of global engagement in higher education. As we navigate changes in technology, policy and societal priorities, the conference seeks to envision the next chapter in international education.
The conference welcomes academics, researchers, university leaders, international office staff, policymakers and practitioners committed to advancing the future of internationalisation in higher education.
European University Alliances Conference
On 27 May in Dublin’s Europe House, a pan-European conference highlighted the deep cross-national collaboration with Irish, French and German partners in shaping a more integrated, competitive and inclusive European Higher Education Area.
To date, the Irish government through the HEA has allocated over €10.35 million to support participation by 14 Irish higher education institutions. The event included contributions from Minister James Lawless, H.E. Céline Place, French Ambassador to Ireland and H.E. David Gill, German Ambassador to Ireland.

Pitch My Erasmus
Pitch My Erasmus 2025 Competition – Call for Participants
15 October, Europe House, Dublin
As part of #ErasmusDays this year, we’re hosting Pitch My Erasmus – a fun competition giving returned Erasmus+ participants the chance to share their Erasmus+ experience in France, Germany, Spain, Italy or the Netherlands. Participants will deliver a short 5-minute pitch in front of a live audience for a chance to win prizes. Each presentation will be judged by representatives of the embassies of the aforementioned countries. With the support of the HEA, in association with Léargas, all selected participants will receive a certificate. It also provides excellent networking opportunities and enhances public speaking skills.
We’re asking International Officers to help us by identifying and encouraging individuals who might want to take part. Applications are open now; we strongly encourage you to circulate the opportunity widely with your Erasmus+ returnees – we would be grateful if you could copy and paste the below text into an email and issue it to your relevant networks:

Testimonials
Participant Testimonials
Please encourage your Erasmus+ participants to share their story with us for our national Erasmus+ experience campaign. We’re looking for testimonials from returnee students, staff and BIP participants to promote the programme nationally. If a participant from your institution is featured, we’ll highlight your institution across our channels for a month.
The opportunity offers a great boost for contributors’ CVs and LinkedIn, and it serves as a huge help for those wanting to learn more about the programme and what it offers.
We’re asking International Officers to share the following with their participants by copying and pasting the below into an email and issuing to relevant networks:
Subject: Share your Erasmus+ experience – be featured in the HEA’s national campaign
Dear all,
If you’ve completed an Erasmus+ mobility, the Higher Education Authority (HEA) would love to hear about your experience. The HEA is looking for testimonials from students, staff and BIP participants who studied or trained abroad as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
If selected, your story will be featured on the EurIreland blog and promoted on the national Erasmus+ Ireland social media channels. It’s a great opportunity to promote yourself (for your LinkedIn, CV, etc.), your course, your institution and the Erasmus+ programme.
