2026 Erasmus+ call for funding is now open!
The 2026 Erasmus+ call for proposals opened on 12 November 2025 and comes with a budget of approximately €5.2 billion to support mobility and cooperation opportunities for learners, educators, and organisations.
Higher education institutions can apply for:
- Key Action 131: Mobility of higher education students and staff supported by internal policy funds.
Deadline: 19 February 2026 at 11am GMT / 12pm CET. - Key Action 171: Mobility of higher education students and staff supported by external policy funds.
Deadline: 19 February 2026 at 11am GMT / 12pm CET. - Key Action 220: Cooperation partnerships in higher education.
Deadline: 5 March 2026 at 11am GMT / 12pm CET.

Through cross-border mobility and cooperation projects, the Erasmus+ 2026 call embraces the Union of Skills strategy, which aims to enhance skills development for quality employment, promote lifelong learning, and help build resilience.
Erasmus+ goes beyond academic study, also offering work placements and traineeships to help participants gain hands-on experience. In addition, the programme keeps pursuing its overarching priorities of inclusion, digital and green transitions, and democratic participation.
