Visa Applications

  • Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Irish visa applications have been suspended globally with the exception of certain priority/emergency visas.
  • The resumption of visa services will be coordinated with local restrictions in overseas visa offices in China, India, UAE, Turkey, Nigeria, Russia, the UK and the Dublin office. Where possible it is intended to resume services from the 22nd of June and where it isn’t possible to resume from the 22nd of June, as soon as possible thereafter. In all other locations, the resumption of services will be at the discretion of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
  • During the initial phase of re-opening, offices will only be accepting Long Stay “D” visa applications, including Study, as well as those identified under the current criteria as Emergency/Priority Short Stay visas. For more information, please see the following links:
