International Officer’s Update March 2022

International Officer's Meeting - 3rd March 2022

We were delighted to welcome colleagues from across the Higher Education Sector to the Higher Education Authority for the first hybrid International Officer’s Meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Sheena Duffy, Head of International Programmes and Director of the Irish National Agency for Erasmus+ Higher Education.

The meeting opened with a presentation from Clare Murphy from University College Cork, which provided an overview of key discussion themes for the meeting.

Dr Aileen Marron, Erasmus+ Programme Manager presented an overview of key developments within the new Erasmus+ Programme. Aileen’s presentation provided insights into new features of Erasmus+ 2021-2027, such as Blended Intensive Programmes and Doctoral Mobility.

This was followed by a presentation on Erasmus+ Communications and the NA Website by Aoileann Ní Bhroin, a presentation by Dr Dorota Migocka-Sendlak  on KA220 Lump Sums, another presentation by Aoileann on key developments in relation to Erasmus Without Paper and a presentation by Mikolai Hughes on the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships.

The meeting was a fruitful one, with plans outlined by the National Agency to continue ongoing work to address key pain points in the administrative process and for the next meeting to take place within the next couple of months.
