Ireland and Baltic Countries in Erasmus Programme 2021 – 2027
There is a keen interest expressed by prospective Erasmus+ participants from the Baltic Countries in visiting Ireland. We would like to facilitate these exchanges, increasing the numbers of outbound students and staff from Irish HEIs to Latvian HEIs and establish/enhance existing strategic partnerships between Irish and Latvian Higher Education.
To that end, we have been working closely with our colleagues in the Lithuanian and Latvian National Agencies along with the embassies of both countries. Work is also underway with other Baltic countries, e.g Estonia. Watch this space!
For any queries/ comments/ suggestions in relation to the Ireland and Baltic countries project, please email Erasmus@hea.ie

• collect opinions and evidence on the problem and various solutions (policy options) to address it
• create a robust and evidence-based analysis
The consultation is open until 5 May 2023
Joint European Degree label and a legal status for European universities alliances
10 Erasmus+ pilot projects have been launced to test new forms of transnational cooperation between higher education institutions, as outlined in the Council conclusions on a European strategy empowering higher education institutions for the future of Europe and the Council Recommendation on building bridges for effective European higher education cooperation: six of the selected projects will examine, test and facilitate the delivery of a joint European Degree label, whereas the other four projects will test institutionalised cooperation instruments, such as a possible legal status for these alliances.
