Young Professionals Programme 2023/Programme Des Jeunes Cades 2023
UNESCO is launching a call for applications for the Young Professionals Programme 2023. The objectives of the Programme are to improve the geographical representation of the Secretariat, to promote gender balance at international professional level, to provide learning and professional opportunities for young people, and to enrich and diversify UNESCO.
The deadline for nominations is the 31 October 2023, please ensure that nominations are sent to the Department of Education prior to this date.
Erasmus Goes Digital - EWP Webinars
The Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) consortium organised two EWP webinars that took place on the 14th of September
State of play EWP 2023
The topic of discussion was lessons learnt so far in 2023, and what the higher education community can expect in the remainder of 2023 and in the first half of 2024.
EWP Dashboard enhancements
This session introduced EWP Dashboard users to the new enhancements and options available in the tool

Erasmus+ mid-term review: university and student perspectives on student mobility
In a webinar that took place on the 14th of September, the European University Association (EUA), the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), and the European Commission discussed two recent student surveys that showed how higher education institutions and students perceive student mobility opportunities within the current Erasmus+ programme.

Higher Options 2023
We were delighted to partake in the Irish Times Higher Options event on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of September.
Many productive & engaging conversations were had with students, parents and guidance counselors and we were so impressed by the energy and enthusiasm shown by the Erasmus+ students of the future!

Applications for the #OurEUStory Awards are now open! The #OurEUStory Awards celebrate the transformational impact that EU-funded projects have on communities and organisations across Ireland. €2000 is up for grabs for the best entries so don’t miss this exciting opportunity to tell your EU story!
Entries consist of a 140-second (maximum) video shared on X (formerly Twitter) and/or Facebook and a brief application form. Your video doesn’t need to be fancy or professionally shot – it’s about telling the story of your EU project journey and sharing your message. The application form is now live so check out the #OurEUStory Awards website to start preparing your EU story.
The three best entries will win a prize: €1,000 for first place and €500 each for second and third places. The winners will be announced at the #OurEUStory Award Ceremony at our Access Europe Showcase in December

International Team Changes
We would like to welcome Dr Raasay Jones and Dr Dana Cocargeanu to the International Team! Raasay has joined as a Senior Manager and Dana will be overseeing Government of Ireland as well as Key Action 2.
On the same note, we would also like to extend our best wishes and thanks to Dr Dorota Migocka-Sendlak who has moved to a new section within the HEA.
