With over 16 million participants since its launch in 1987, Erasmus+ continues to grow in demand. It goes beyond academic study, also offering work placements and traineeships to help participants gain hands-on experience. The programme can connect education with practical experience in keys sectors like green, digital and STEM.

It also continues to expand in terms of access and inclusion for individuals with fewer opportunities. This focus aligns with the recently adopted Council recommendation on ‘Europe on the Move’, which sets ambitious targets for increasing mobility and participation, especially for underrepresented groups.
